Bespoke Application Pricing
- Fixed price vs Hourly Rate
- Typically a system is delivered in a series of phases, starting with fixed-price components and later, as the relationship develops, becoming predominantly hourly rate.
Fixed price work is usually more expensive in the long run. This is because GroupWorks must spend considerable time preparing a fixed price quote, but needs payment for this one way or another, and
must also factor in a 'risk factor' for things not going according to plan.
With hourly rate work, after analysing the work required, a rough estimate is given and the customer kept informed if the project is moving significantly ahead or behind the estimate.
Another option is to split the risk by giving an outline estimate, variable by mutual consent, where any time over or under the estimate is at a much reduced hourly rate.
Rates
- GroupWorks standard rate is currently £60 (+VAT) per hour, £350 per day
(£50 per hour, £300 per day for companies up to 10 employees).
Fixed quotes are based on estimated hours required for the quote and the work, plus a risk factor.
Little and Large
- The smallest solution was a fixed-price quote for a small company of surveyors, at £500.
The largest solutions have been in the region of £40,000.
