Software Support and Maintenance by Groupworks
- What sort of systems can GroupWorks support and maintain?
- GroupWorks specialises in database-based systems working in Microsoft Windows environment written in Access or Visual Basic, with a 'back-end' database in Access or SQL Server
These are typically bespoke programs written by other companies or contractors, or GroupWorks itself
Currently there is no particular 'vertical' market - systems supported cover a wide variety of business, but the majority are some kind of administration system
Systems being supported go from a few dozen screens, tables and reports to several hundred of each
What sort of service can I expect?
- Support is generally when something has gone wrong or some question needs answering quickly
(e.g. the database is corrupt, or the financial director needs to know exactly how xyz is calculated)
GroupWorks tries to answer and where appropriate resolve support calls as soon as possible
Maintenance is where a change, sometimes substantial, needs to be made to a system,
this will usually be discussed in detail then scheduled to be completed at a mutually convenient time
GroupWorks requests that, wherever possible, there a single contact person at the client

- You will generally get the same person working on your system, so in-depth expertise is built up in minimum time at minimum cost
